Edith Wall was the eighth child of George Frederick Wall & Sarah Willetts born at Zoar St, Wolverhampton & christened July 30th, 1899 at St Paul’s, Wolverhampton.
In 1901 Edith & her parents were living at 2 All Saints Rd, Wolverhampton. She had an older sister, Mabel (14), & an older brother William (4).
In 1911 Edith was still living with her widowed mother at 8 Marks St, Wolverhampton. Visiting them were 2 little nieces, children of Edith’s sister Mabel.
There is a record of Edith sailing from Southampton to New York on September 29th, 1928. Her occupation was given as ‘printing trade’.
Edith returned to England on July 22nd, 1929 & gave her intended address as 8 Marks St, Wolverhampton.
The 1939 register shows Edith living on her own at 18 Wheatley St, Wolverhampton & her occupation was ‘printing machine feeder’.
Edith married Arthur Westwood in July-September 1945 at Wolverhampton.
Edith, aged 82, died in Jan-March 1982 at Wolverhampton.
